Avadex® MicroActiv™ Now Available for Pea Growers

Great fit for zero till and min till growers with wild oat resistance

Winnipeg, MB - (January 10th, 2018) – Gowan Canada is excited to announce that the Avadex® MicroActiv™ label has been expanded to include peas, in addition to existing crops barley, canary seed, canola, durum, flax and mustard.

“Avadex® Liquid EC already had peas on the label, so it made sense for us to expand the MicroActiv™ label to peas as well”, states Garth Render, General Manager for Gowan Canada.  “As group 1 and group 2 resistant wild oats continue to plague more and more fields in the prairies according to the latest Ag Canada studies, it is good for growers to include other modes of action like group 8 Avadex.  This provides another tool for pea growers”, he adds.

With a herbicide layering program using group 3 Edge®, group 8 Avadex, or Fortress® which has both groups 3 and 8, growers can expect better weed control, higher yields and will be practicing good weed resistance management.
